LEFTOVER BEACH
Rather than allowing unused paint on my palette to dry at the end of a painting session, I decided to find a way to use it. So, I kept a painting nearby just for that purpose. My first attempt didn’t come out so well, but I like this one. I use a photo I took on some Caribbean island and ran it through an abstract converter. I then converted it into a line drawing and filled in the areas between the lines with whatever paint I had leftover. This is about a month’s worth of paint that would have otherwise been left to dry.

LIBRA MORNING
Found online and reminded me of my wife having her morning coffee with one of her trusty cats so I had to paint it.

MRS. E.T.
E.T. phones home and his wife answers. She’s not very happy he’s been on Earth so long and demands to know when he’ll be back!

ELDORADO CANYON WAGON
A record for me; I started this somewhere around 2019 and finished it in 2026. Interestingly, the wagon was to my liking in the first attempt; it was the rest of the painting I couldn’t get how I wanted it. I repeatedly worked on it, got frustrated and put it aside for long periods of time. Finally, while still not exactly how I wanted it, I considered it “good enough” and called it done.

RENEE
Even more from my current abstract technique.

TOASTED
More using my discovered abstract technique. I’m not a big fan of this particular result.

EASTER AT OUR HOUSE
If this K9 breed is part of your household, you’ll understand!

VIOLET
Exploring a new painting method/technique. It’s not particularly difficult and results in some weird creations.

WINTER JAVA
Been on a winter theme lately since the temperature here had not been above freezing and with wind chills well below zero for about two weeks!

SEARCHING FOR BORIS
I’ll leave it up to you to locate the connected reference painting and develop the story.

AMERICAN PI FOR NERDS
You either get it or you don’t. If you do get it, my condolences.
